LATE-AFTERNOON / EARLY-EVENING GAME DRIVES

LATE-AFTERNOON / EARLY-EVENING GAME DRIVES
(Advance sign-up not required)

The vast savannahs and marshlands of South Africa are home to cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, elands, impalas, steenboks (a type of antelope) and elephant herds, while the lions, leopards, kudus, bushbucks and baboons make their homes amid denser vegetation. The late afternoon and early evening drives will allow you to track these magnificent creatures during the cooler parts of the day when they are most active. As the drive continues and the stars begin to shine, nothing can match the exhilaration of the bush at night!

Notes:
Though the camps are fenced for elephants, some smaller species like leopards are able to make their way onto the property. You will be escorted to and from your rooms at dawn, dusk or in the dark. These are wild animals, and being in their habitat, they should be appreciated from a safe distance. Please don’t attempt to pet any of the animals.
